Who wants to see the Buzzcocks, X, & Sex Pistols?
First off, today should be good as I wake up and find Blacula on so that is a great way to start my day. haha Well, since I'm behind I'll recap I guess. Friday saw the Warhol exhibit in LA which was a lot of fun. And having Dennis Hopper doing the audiotour was cool. I'm not much of an art fan, but I could definitely appreciate what Warhol was doing more so now. We saw a few of his screen tests he did at the Factory too where he would get people and videotape them. I saw one of Nico, but we couldn't stay longer to see more of her, the Lou Reeds, or the Dennis Hopper. Well my friend who went with me left that night to start on the Guns N Roses tour. Quite a twist as he was always trying to get his friend who got him this gig into all kinds of garage stuff which he just isn't into. So this is his revenge by bringing him here. But he got him into the Dirtbombs at least who are coming back in October. But it's on a Friday night so now I'll have to take 2 Fridays off in a row as the week before is Mr. Show. Unfortunate though because I think Detroit Cobras are headlining so I fear Dirtbombs might not play as long. Either way, it'll be a fun show. Ok onto the subject above, I went ahead and got 2 tix for that show which I fear I might regret. I was going to take Mike as a bday gift, but he just isn't into the show at all. We just saw X last month and the only band that interests him is the Pistols. I'm lucky I got even got tix as I woke up at 9 right when they handed out wrist bands. I went to 2 places as the first had like 40 people there. Lucky for me there were about 15-20 at the 2nd place, and a group of ladies said they felt sorry for me so they said I could give them the money and they would get me tix. They turned out being 5th in line so I actually got seats. The only other people I know who are going hate me already because they got the lawn. So anyways, now I have to find someone to go with me who I can tolerate. I know one person who would have fun but I couldn't tolerate him for the whole day. haha I should have known better I almost always get burned when I buy 2 tix. Only thing I fear about the show is Mike was telling me he heard it's all on 1 stage which would be shitty. Haha, but those who know me enough since something good happened it can't all be good. Well stupid me, I left my cigarette lighter on as I was playing a cd while I was waiting to get the tix for a half hour. I killed the battery I thought so AAA came and jumped it. It died again on the way home right as I got off the freeway so I had to push it across the street into a residential street. But some 3 motherfuckers in the right lane were still turning left in front of me while I was trying to push my car straight ahead. It turned out that I burned out some wiring on the battery, but it's fixed now at least. And lastly, I just worked out on some stuff for a big match next Sunday. It could be the best match I'll ever have, but at the same time one of the worst beatings I'll take. haha Whoever says it's fake should see how beat up I am after matches. More soon...
