Pipe, bare feet, bear-men, and bombadils?

So, it turns out that Guillermo del Toro intends to out-geek the rest of us with his production of the Hobbit. He's on record now saying that he will keep Beorn in the first film (which will evidently be JUST the story of Bilbo's journey) and, more shockingly, that he's a fan of Tom Bombadil and is trying to find a way to work TB into the second "Hobbit" film (which, by the by, will concentrate around events in Gandalf's life before LOTR, but they're not saying what yet, but it looks like it'll involve Gollum).
