oh, hello

So I apparently finished the semester well-
and now i'm wasting my break away! YES! I've been thinking of buying the baby Cintiq model- which is a hefty investment, but Mark is trying to convince me it is well worth it. (Despite the fact that I have a 20" monitor AND an Intuos 3) The Cintiq I want is 12 inches and about $1k. So expensive. What saddens me the most is that the only people I've seen with Cintiqs have wasted the technology. (Minus friends who just bought them)
In other news, I lost my keys and UMBC ID some time recently, and found them at the RAC. Yay- minus my red card, which is still missing or stolen. But I think it's only $10 to replace, so YAYYYYY, less horrifying than paying for new locks.

I had a bizarre dream that a sack full of free stuff (free expensive stuff- instruments, small exercise stuff, other things) arrived at my house because I took the metro at some point. Part of a promotion the metro forces were running, I guess. Also, animals had taken over one of the rooms in my house, and got pissed off when I tried to lock them in. I was afraid they were going to start stealing stuff.

But the reason I was awake an hour ago is that maintenance showed up- at like 8am, which is VERY MUCH unlike them. I usually see them at noon. I have no idea what they're doing. I just hear Mexican voices, the shower running, flushing of toilets, vacuuming... I can only assume that since health and safety inspections went through yesterday, they saw the mold growing in our shower and flipped out. That would be great! if they finally addressed the mold issue. Part of me, however, is terrified that we're getting a new roommate. Our old one left without telling us until the day before she was scheduled to move out. Apparently we're that intimidating!
But I honestly don't want a random fourth person- bad things can happen. Hogging the TV and game consoles, leaving the sink overflowing with dishes, hair all over the shower, failure to get toilet paper, inviting horrible friends over, complaining endlessly about the rest of us, eating all my foods, stealing my property. Ahhhh scary. I'm afraid of this possibility because they've apparently unlocked the unoccupied room. I have no idea why. I don't want to leave my room right now. :'( i should though, since i hear dishes clattering around.
