Ahh..Jeez!!
I know we all gotta start somewhere, but for chrissakes! My LS has recently had a major influx of new peoples due to some of our older members lvling new jobs in the dunes and having sacks (like to smack them with mine). Here is an excerpt of a convo with one last night while I was in Jeuno. Keep in mind, this person just dinged lvl 20 and was helped with subjob quest. And is now in Jeuno.

Me>>> Go to upper and Talk to Brutus in front of Choco stables.
New>> I did
(now its been a very long time so I'm trying to remember)
Me>>> Ok, talk to the little kid next to the choco, then go buy gausbit grass, feed it once every game day for about 6 days etc.
New>> Thats gonna take a long time!!
Me>>> Yes it is, but you can do other things while you're waiting.
New>> Where can I train war?
Me>>> If by train, you mean lvl, then Quifim. Put your flag up.
(having a bad feeling, so check new guy.. OMG!! 20war/05blm)
Me>>> Whoa there new guy, you need to have a mnk or thf sub.
New>> Ok.
(check again, after telling him how to get to residence. 20war/1mnk)

This sort of thing continues for at least 5 min, then New says "see, I got a pty!" Guess he doesn't know about /sea. I wait 3 min, check, he still standing with his flag up. Finally I just say, "look, you play the game however you want. But If I was looking for pty members, I would not invite you. And if I joined a pty and you were in it with that setup, I would leave."
As I said at the start, I know we all have to start somewhere, we were all lvl1 , no sub, rank1 once. But jeez, at least I listened.
