I had a DVD to return to Blockbuster and a card to mail today, so I opted to multitask (the Blockbuster is right next to a collection box). One would think this would prove a simple task for someone with my multi-tasking capabilities... which are shortly to be called into question....
Anyway, it turns out that Blockbuster does not accept mail in lieu of rented DVDs and I am going to have to go down to the actual post office and fill out a "retrieval of mail" form in order to get the DVD out of the collection box. I'm not really sure why this is necessary, as there is no stamp on the DVD (and thus, how is it mail?), but... bureaucracy. Gotta love it.
I feel like quite the fool, but at least I'm not so depressed today.
The moral of the story: always stop at Blockbuster before sending out mail.
