Things to Do When You're Sick

Jan 17, 2010 20:23

Yes that's right, ladies and other ladies, I am feeling a bit under the weather.  Not only does that mean daytime TV and Spaghettio's til they're coming out my nailbeds, it also means it's time to update my LiveJournal!

So if you're anything like me, sleeping when you're sick is fine but it's downright boring.  But you can't just go running about town with your knickers over your head while you sing "I Am The Walrus."  You're too soggy and achey for that.  So what to do instead?  Well now that is where I can help you.

I bring to you, Loki's Guide of Things to Do When You're Sick!

  • Watch every episode ever made of Monty Python and/or Sailor Moon on youtube or various Japanese torrenting sites
  • Listen to the techno in your iTunes that while you normally shove it into some dusty playlist now is hypnotic and makes you think you're soaring above psychedelic fields
  • Eat Pringles because they are the only thing you can taste anymore
  • Take approximately eight showers a day because they're so hot and damp you'll forget your forehead shares the same attributes
  • Read books you bought when you were a teenager.  Your reading level should drop about to where they amuse you again
  • Don't watch porn...observe porn
  • Feel the subtle changes in your anatomical structure as the Nyquil and Tylenol eat at your nervous system
  • DISCLAIMER:  The following should not be attempted unless you are an experienced flu-haver.  Watch Alice in Wonderland, then stay up in your bed and listen to Crazy Frog while watching the iTunes visualizer and at some point if you're doing it right, your eyes should pop round the back of your skull and retreat into your fibula.

Or if you just like listening to music while you're sick and you figure you'll leave that other stuff to the pros, here's some bands you might like extra while under the inFLUence:

The Dears, The Cure, Aphrodite, Adam Absinthe, Hypernova, and the song "M13" by Ian Brown, and the song "Chemical Princess" by IAMX.

sick, music, hobbies
