Notebook

oh glorious tax refund! how you astound and delight me with your annual gifts! what a treat to use you as a savings plan, shoveling my hard earned dollars down your throat until you finally spew up the small "refund".

This is my first update from my brand new HP Pavilion Entertainment PC. Windows Vista Home Premium came pre-installed. At first use it seems sleek, stylish, beautifull in all its new age glory. Rounded buttons add a futuresc look and feel to it, and gadgets now compliment the desktop with a built in look. Some of these things have been around for a while, but now that microsoft has chosen to develop them first party, I expect no end to the uber goodness of add-ons and exciting ways of keeping me organized and up to date. With a 1700 dollar refund check, I certainly ahd enough to play around with, but this lavish notebook was priced at 1049. 17" high-def BrightView widescreen display, integrated 5-in-1 digital media reader, Nvidia Go Force 6150 graphics card with 288MB shared video memory. Duel AMD Turion 64 1.7ghz processors, 1024mb DDR RAM. 120GB HDD, integrated wireless. I could have gone for the dedicated video card, and another gig of RAM, but i decided to take this home and see how it ran to determine if i needed all that extra power. so far i am pleased. i am installing WOW on it and so we shall see what it runs like.

Will post again later with an update on the new comp.
