Despite the demands to get dressed up for the hell of it, we're actually having a wedding. No brideless bachelorette parties here! Or something of the like?
What needs to be done is definitely settling on florist. Stephen's mom has a friend that trained a majority of the florists in the Portland area. She is going to see if he can do that for us. Same goes for the officiant. They have a friend that is out of state right now training to hopefully be a children's theater director.
Need to call and see if I can meet with the venue coordinator. Need to discuss table placement, wine tasting and work on what linens and specifics on my centerpieces.
I bought 150 bubbles today in small "test tubes" along with the aisle runner. Stephen has been assigned the job of not only making the invitations but also painting my runner. I want our names, date and perhaps an orchid on it. After all is said and done we can hopefully cut it out and frame it.
Abigail being Stephen's favorite child ever will be our delightful flower girl. Need to come up with an entertainment pack of activities for her. Also need to start looking into dresses. I'm checking with my venue to see if we can have her leave dried lavender instead of petals on the runner. It would smell pretty and match my colors.
Potentially hiring a DJ since I don't want to have to really THINK about the music too much. Let alone equalize every mp3 to ensure its not too loud or too soft. Friends and family are still working on this.
How about we attempt an lj cut?
Deposit down on the dress. I was obviously picking it because I fell in love with the back!
Two of the four bridesmaids have been fitted. Yes and thank you girls!
It will be in a lavender color.
Centerpiece inspiration is here...
and here...
My flowers will hopefully be something like this.
The girls will have probably green hydrangeas with white roses. I may incorporate white roses into my bouquet. We'll see?
For Abigail I was thinking of having a pomander made. Easier to carry on her wrist and pretty...until one of my grand friends teach her about swinging them!
For our cake I am hoping for something simple, modern and pretty darn perdy! I do love square cakes. Stephen's friend from school is a fantastic baker.
