Friday recs post: you look like my next mistake
Let’s see if I can get a reliable recs post thing going again for December :D This one is all art from the UNBELIEVABLY FABULOUS Harry/Draco fanart fest that just finished, and a tiny sampling of the minor Doctor/Master kick I was inevitably sent on by DW and the major White Collar kick I was sent on by the start of S6. So much Neal whump, you guys. SO. MUCH.

This is utterly gorgeous black-and-white art. I love the smile on portrait!Draco’s face and the fingerprints Harry's left on him :) And there’s so much perfect detail!
The Scene Repeats by Anonymous. Harry/Draco; G. Summary:Harry and Draco on the run together in the Forest of Dean.
This is so beautiful! The palette is gorgeously freezing, all black and white and arctic blue, and I love the tent and the stars, white against the night. And the comfort is so lovely, with just one intimate point of contact between them.
A La Mode by Anonymous. Harry/Draco; PG. Summary: Draco's such a fashion critic... He's bought Harry about a dozen outfits, but no matter which Harry tries on for him, there's something wrong with it (Harry's looks too good) and it's NOT suitable to wear out of the house.
I cannot even deal with how much I love this one. Every image is gorgeously done, I can't get over the character designs (especially Draco in the first panel) and all Harry's different outfits. AND THEN FLIRTY!HARRY AND BLUSHING!DRACO OMGGGGG.
Hate That I Want You by Anonymous. Harry/Draco; PG-13. Summary: I hate you, but I want you, so I'm going to fight you in order to get my hands on you somehow, and you infuriate me but also give me a boner, but omg I don't want to admit that!
I love this dynamic between them! And this is hot despite its low rating: I love their intense expressions and Draco's bruised mouth.

Awww! This is incredibly cute - I love the last image and the last line. The style is really pretty - I can't get over Draco in the first panel against the background - and the colours are gorgeous.

I am currently HORRIBLY OBSESSED with this song and this is the pairing of my heart, how could I not be delighted? It’s so great. There’s a whole little swordfight montage, and really great mirroring across the different incarnations of the Doctor and his Master, and Missy being 100% delightful during the ‘stolen kisses, pretty lies’ verse. IT IS EVERYTHING I WANTED.

sahiya. El/Peter & El&Neal&Peter gen; ~9700 words; Teen. Summary: Working for Kramer in D.C., Neal is doing his best to get by until, quite suddenly, he isn't.
All I want in the world for post-s3 fic is AUs with Kramer being a Bad Handler and El and Peter rescuing Neal, and this is a great example of that. Kramer is chillingly IC, not cartoonishly evil but SO awful, and the hopeful note it ends on is so sweet.
What The Water Gave Us by
soteriphobe. Neal & Peter & El (and Kramer) gen; ~15 200 words; G; suicide ideation & attempts, mental illness. Summary: Post-Judgement Day, AU. Instead of running when Peter tells him to, Neal goes willingly to work for Kramer in D.C. Things go downhill - slow at first, and then really, really fast.
This is really scary in many ways (argh, Neal has no idea of how bad he’s got until it’s very nearly too late) but also YAY for Peter rescuing him.
You Ruined Everything (In The Nicest Way) by
jmtorres. Neal & El & Peter gen; ~9500 words; G. Summary: A story of missed connections, in which Peter doesn't know what to say, Neal doesn't seem to want to hear it, and Elizabethan translation proves vital.
AU in which (as you’ve probably guessed if you know the song) Neal is the product of Peter getting a girl pregnant when he was fourteen, not that he knew it at the time. I don’t generally see the characters’ dynamic like this but because it’s AU and very well-written - and because the family connection makes their relationships more difficult rather than easier - I am SO INTO this fic.

This is inspired by the fic, and it is a pure burst of joy; utterly charming and sweet. The song really is so perfect for Peter and Neal at their most feel-good, and the last clip just. Makes my heart runneth over with feels. ♥
