Merlin 306: The Changeling
Random writer’s block sucks, you guys. But never mind, for I shall watch a little more Merlin!
:D How Shakespearian! A pretty young changeling and her comedy nurse.
AHAHAHA. “He finds me strategic... and beautiful?” Never heard of the droit de seigneur, Arthur? :D Uther fumbling hilariously about their hopes for marriage is already giving me high hopes for this episode.

This is something of an action-replay of other comedy-romance episodes... tut tut.
The peculiar take on changelings works for me, actually, because the girl’s very charming and I prefer it if that’s not fairy oddness :)
LOL, competitive Arthur is competitive.
The very sudden “you must marry for the good of the kingdom!” doesn’t really work, imo. It’s only been barely hinted at before, and now all of a sudden there’s a girl all lined up?
Oh dear... I mean, I don’t have an embarrassment squick, but since Elaina’s just embarrassed and a bit silly rather than malign I don’t find her faux pas very funny :(

That was an INSANELY ADORABLE jilting at the altar. Arthur being so brave, Elena smiling back at him, and Arthur&Gwen's theme playing. ♥ I really like the idea of futurefic where Queen Elena and King Arthur are great and platonic friends, laughing over that time in their youth when their fathers nearly made them get married.
AHAHAHA loved Merlin’s little “I Think I Hear Someone Calling” face when he saw Gwen coming. And Arthur’s little hop-skip-and-a-jump up the stairs as he left Gwen? MOST ADORABLE EVER.
