dangermouse is trying to make froie gras. out of us in the office. today, with strawberries! my meals for the last 2 days have been very fruit-heavy. Because I didn't have time to cook.
arkadiatri & ctl & jtu & i went to montreal for the weekend. It was fun, I approve of the bixi system, even if I don't get to my (poor neglected) bike all that often (it's been about 2 years at this point. last year was mostly from illness, the fact that I am a nervous biker, and it's not very practical for me & work)
I also discovered the ground cherry, which is like a tomatillo, but sweet and fruity! Weird, the tomato family is creeping closer to me than I'd expect. I was afraid of it at first, and finally ctl and jtu said, pretty much together "JUST EAT IT."
arkadiatri's family descends today for graduation. while trying to be generally useful in the preparations, I forgot the plants I'd gotten from kareid (in fact, ground cherries. Thank you!) with his plants, so I didn't get to deal with them before work. Maybe tomorrow morning before the hooding. depending on how well I manage to separate them, I may have 2 or 10 plants now.
My old kooshes are on my shelf at work, and today I'm playing with them like stress balls. 2 of them are the soft, thin kind, and 2 flat-stringed shiny ones. They feel a little like endangered species.
