Yesterday it snowed. Yayy! We got, like, two inches before it turned to sleet. It was pretty and very romantic and made me miss Haley like crazy. I woke up late and spent most of the afternoon working on three compositions for art. I also had a little online quiz for Biochem, but I put it off. Instead I watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and knitted and waited for Haley to get back from his parents' house so we could talk. Well, next thing I know, I'm waking up and the phone is ringing and it's 1 AM. It was Haley, calling to leave a message. So we chatted for about 0.4392 seconds and then I immediately fell back asleep without a shower.
I woke up this morning at 4 AM in a panic because in my infinite wisdom, I forgot to do the stupid quiz. Fine. I woke back up at 6:45, took the world's fastest shower, and sat down to do the quiz, which technically wasn't due until 9:00 AM (the class is at 10:00), but with Physics at 8:00 I could only do it before I left. The window was still open from my failed attempt last night, so I just dove right in. About 8 multiple choice and 5 short-answer, nothing too terrible, but enough to have to make me take my time and think. About 30 minutes later I finished. Feeling relieved, I hit the "Submit" button, only to be told that my session had timed out. Crap! I hit the back button to try to salvage the short-answers, but, lo, it brought me only to the login page.
All my work had been lost.
At this point I was starting to get worried I'd be late for my 8 AM Physics, but I logged back in, cursing my stupidity for not saving my work to a separate window first, and ran through the whole thing again, though this time it took me only 10 minutes. Still I was cutting it close, so I quickly poured some Cheerios in a Ziploc bag (because I can't function without food in the morning), dug up the appropriate notebooks and shoved them in my bag, grabbed my coat, and hurried out the door with five minutes to trek through the snow and ice to Jepson. Then, as I pass the RA's door, I saw a hand-written sign across her whiteboard reading:
"8:00 AND 9:00 CLASSES CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER."
