Meh, I slept in today... The first week of school isn't even over yet and I'm already skipping classes. -__-; (Note to self: Staying up until two in the morning when you have an 8 AM the next day is generally a bad practice.)
On the flip side it gives me an opportunity to study for the Inorganic quiz that I completely forgot about, even though it's written in huge letters on my calendar; and gives me time to go to the bookstore to pick up the coursepack for Biochem, which just got in yesterday.
Speaking of yesterday, I went to Inorganic lab to discover that I am the only person in the class. Yes, it's just me and the professor. I guess it's not surprising, considering there are five people in the lecture and I know two of them don't have the pre-requisites to take the lab, while the other two are seniors about to graduate who have already gotten into grad school and don't need the application boost. So that leaves me. Me and Dr. Crissman. Alone in the lab. For three hours. AWKWARD. Of course, it means I'll get plenty of personal attention, and she's relaxed the due dates for some things, and she can tailor the lecture based on what I already know, but still. It's just weird.
In other "yesterday" news, the art professor (who looks like a young, hip, and far more attractive Mr. Bean) liked one of my pieces:
Assignment 1-3. He didn't know it was mine, but that's okay. Now we've graduated from penciled lines and circles to black and white collage -- yay -- and more interesting shapes. I find it's really easy to bullshit this course, which is a plus, but it's also fun to put in a bit more effort. (The piece above, for example, took me about three hours to lay out and trace and fill in all those damn little circles. I think the effort was worth it.)
I am somewhat disappointed, for I did not awake to the blanket of sparkling, pristine snow I had hoped for. I even wore my lucky snow pajamas. v__v;
