My professor is hilarious. He's British and he's got such John Cleese humor. I love him, even though I hate driving down there every morning in rush hour traffic and I hate dealing with VCU. I will admit that some of the architecture of the local homes they've appropriated is interesting, and they have a good music school, and MCV is decent, but that's about all they have going for them in my book. ):
And Dr. Chappell. Unfortunately, while his lectures are amazing, his reading is much less interesting. Last night we were assigned the Gilgamesh epic, and tonight we have to read about forty pages of Thucydides' Peloponnesian War, which is the most dry, tedious, rambling thing I've ever read. I mean it. Usually I can find some amusing way to look at works like this and suffer through them, but even this guy's bias is boring. I have fifteen pages to go and I don't know if I can do it. x___x
Does anyone who goes to VCU know if the student ID card is an automatic library card, or do I have to set it up or something? It'd be nice to have access to some of the scientific journals there, because Mary Wash has jack shit for science databases.
Edit: HOUSE SEASON FINALE OMGZ. And I forgot I need to bang out an essay draft (compare the three Mediterranean bronze age civilizations) to hand in tomorrow, though it's not required and the final paper isn't due until Friday...
