The CFMEU - that's the union that represents people who actually, y'know work in the mines, as opposed to the self-pitying greedheads who 'work' in the management of the mines - has produced a marvellous ad to counter the one that's currently assaulting you every time you turn on the teev.

Speaking of the mining industry ads - does anyone else remember the old 'backbone of the country' ads from the Eighties? Plus ca change, eh? Isn't it interesting how whenever the management of the mining industry feels threatened, they try to hide behind a non-existent solidarity with an idealised version of their workforce? As if these aren't the same men and women they routinely screw over on a daily basis.
