The Victorian Government is planning major changes to public TAFE system. These changes could seriously endanger the skills and vocational education system, put quality of teaching at risk, more than double fees and put jobs at risk.

Our TAFE system is woefully underfunded, but it is still the most effective and efficient in Australia. To solve the skills shortage needs more funding for public TAFEs, not a diversion of public funds to private operators.
