The Legend Returns. . . .

I went looking for Arthurian communities today. Joined three, because I'm like that and Arthurian communities are shiny--- one of them was even Mordred-centric! *is a fangirl*

I also ran across a book to add to my list of Arthurian books I desire--- Idylls of the Queen, by Phyllis Anne Karr. Mordred and Kay centric? Murder mystery in Camelot? Such a thing exists! Yay! Eventually I'll, you know, actually manage to buy the book and devour it and review it, and all that fun stuff, seeing as it hits on at least three of my literary loves (Mordred, Kay, and mysteries). Expect much squeeing when this happens.

Arthurian. . . . Yeah, it's come back, and in a big way, since I finished that short story for Creative Writing. Mordred showed up with three art bunnies (one of which I keep seeing in an anime style, which I don't exactly draw), more bits of novel, and an order to finish that short story I stopped working on when the professor told me I couldn't use any public domain characters for the assignment (half the people in my head are public domain!). I might try writing this one from Galahad's PoV, though--- as comfortable as I am with Mordred's, and as used to it as I've gotten over the years, it might work out better from innocent eyes. At the very least, we might get a few more interesting jokes and insights than I usually feel like I can manage anymore with Morded. I'm just so used to him!

He, on the other hand, feels as though he is perfectly capable of delivering insight, and while he is most likely right, he's still a character I'm used to playing with and therefore wouldn't be nearly as much of a challenge to me as a thirteen-year-old Galahad.

So yeah, that's basically the update for today. I'm back into the legends (which is not a huge surprise to anyone who knows me). Also, I found icons, including the pretty one I'm using right now, but that's beside the point.

I should be off to do art stuff now.

Cheers!
