Been busy!

Haven't posted in a few days, & I've actually been doing stuff!
Thursday & Friday last week I went to the HART centre at St Ives & did the pre learner course to get a motorcycle license. It's not like the old days when I got my car license! These days you have to pass a training course before you can go & do the test to get L plates! There were 5 of us doing the training - 3 girls & 2 guys, & I was the only one doing it on a scooter. The rest were all on motorcycles. They suppliesd the bikes at the training facility, & I was on a little 50cc scooter, which made me undertand that I want much more grunt than that. So I did the 2 days & passed, & on Friday afternoon the other girls & I went to the RTA office at Frenches Forest & did the test & we all passed, so we got our L's!! Woo Hoo!!
So this morning I wandered to the scooter shop with my list of scooters I felt met my criterion. Got the guy at the scooter shop that I've spoken to before, & he remembered me. In chatting to him I came to the conclusion that I would scrap the thought of the 125cc bikes (I had the Bolwell Arriba & Bella & the Aprilia Mojito on my list) & that I would put the Vespa back on my list. I checked out the Honda Forza, & it was just too big. The Aprilia Sportcity was my original pick back in the start, but along the line I formed the opinion it was too big, & had more or less dropped it, (but still lusted after it) but he told me I should test ride it & see how it felt. He added that he's recently bought a new scooter, & for him it had been between the Sportcity & the 200cc Vespa, & in the end he chose the Vespa only because of the colour. So I rode the sportcity, & then came back & took the Vespa for a spin.
The Sportcity was magic! It felt a lot smoother than the Vespa!
So, I pick up my new Aprilia Sportcity 200cc scooter in Silver (sadly the red won't be available for at least 6 months) next weekend.
