School Vacation Week hasn't killed me yet!

(but that doesn't mean it's not trying--923 people at the museum yesterday, 600 something today, and 3 full days of programming left to go!)

I had a really long list of resolutions this year, and none of them were of a one-and-done variety, sad to say. One of them, however, was to try to get involved with a writing group in a regular fashion, and tonight was my first attempt. I went to an 'exercise night' where the aim was to write non-stop for each of several different prompts, with opportunities to share at the end of each section, then we wrapped up with a writing/drawing game. It seemed like a really nice group of people and I got a fair amount of writing in in 2 hours, so I'm thinking it's worth attending a few more events to see if it's a good fit overall. So, yay!

Also, yesterday was SG1 Gen Fic day, hosted by the ever-lovely Fignewton, so be sure to swing by there and check out the lovely fics and especially the newest edition of the Alphabet Soup challenge.
