*Whew!*

Opening day went splendidly.  No disasters, everyone had a good time, people like the exhibit, all the presenters turned up, did their thing well, and went home happy.  A bunch of the featured artists showed up just to take in the spectacle, and both friends and family members turned up to cheer on my boss and me, so that was all good.  I can actually breathe, and you know, sleep now.  And catch up on all that other work I've been ignoring for about 3 weeks.  (Reconciling the ed department credit card, oh goody.)  But first I get tomorrow off.

...and hopefully for some of tomorrow I'll get to work on my entries for sg1_lims which is up and running again!  Round 4's deadline for the first challenge is next Tuesday the 29th, and they're still accepting participants.  Even if you aren't into icon-making, voters are always appreciated!  I love how positive and informative feedback from voters always is--it's a great and supportive group of graphics geeks over there.  :)  Come join the fun!

...also, I owe exdevlin the next installment of our creative collaboration, and
princessofgeeks has been patiently waiting for me to get my head out of my exhibit and back to the J/D draft I promised her about two weeks ago.  Sorry, ladies!  I'll get on those this week, now that I have a brain instead of a to-do list.  :)

I celebrated yesterday's success by watching A New Hope tonight, kicking it old school on the VHS copy.  God, I love that movie.  It's like coming home, every time I see it.  Still have the remains of that 5-13 year old crush on Luke, even though I've been an Obi-Wan girl for years now.  And now I also have a fresh grasp of Han's voice so I can get back to work on my multiverse5000 fic which is due at the end of the month.

writer's block, work, star wars, icons
