There are some valid sense in your theory but I was evaluating the ages again and what you said. I have noticed something in from few of the games I have seen, played or heard from (excluding 1 - 6, bits of 9) but in the form of a "WHAT IF" theory for the Dissidia time-line.

What if, the characters were pull into the "conflict" during where it was just between the main character and the main antagonist of the their series during their final battle or when the battle have ended and it was just between just them?
A one on one.

In the final battle of FF7, Cloud go against Sephiroth in a mental battle in the Lifestream. Cloud wins of course and he was safely guided back in time to his body by Aerith before Holy emerge out of the crater from their planet. Now here's the WHAT IF moment. What if, during the time, instead of being guided back to his original body but his mind at that time was guided to Dissidia where he was given a corporal body since his original body is still in his original world. His homeworld is frozen in time. The very same can be said about Sephiroth, as he dissolve into the Life Stream.

Just like Cloud in case he does not returned to his original body, both do not have a corporal body in the final fight of FF7, so if they were taken to do battle again in Dissidia Cosmos and Chaos need to give these two characters a corporal body (and possibly some new accessories).

In FF8, after the defeat of Ultimecia, Cloud and Ultimecia were taken back in time. What if during that time, they both were pulled into the world of Dissidia again like Cloud and Sephiroth. (Also given new clothes and accessories)

I just need to clarify this though before going on, Zidane never once have mention the name Garnet but only mention the word Princess to Firion while asking about the wild rose "if that's what he call his princess". In FF9, when Zidane and Kuja were at the Lifa Tree, before the tree consumes them both, what if during that time, they were then transported to Dissidia (and were given new clothes)? But that would contradict the ending of FF9 unless when he returned, his original clothes replaced the one from Dissidia.

In FFX, after the defeat of Yu Yevon, which will bring a huge gap of contradiction here because in the end, Tidus and Jecht made peace but what say if that didn't happen. Hence why in Dissidia, Tidus still like/want to kick his old man's a$$. Before Tidus return in FFX-2, he and his father could've been taken to the conflicted world of Dissidia.

Given at that, there's a possibility where both protagonist and antagonist didn't know their individual rival existence til the battlefield in Dissidia.

I think i totally ran off topic here......>_>;;

ROFL. No you are right! It would make sense how the timeline works, I just wish they explain it because I'm always so confused when it comes to trying to pin point where exactly they are coming from.

Good points...I might write this on fanfic...XD

Eh?! ' u ';;;

I just didn't think what I wrote are worthy for fanfic writing but um... sure I say go for it!

Squenix like Capcom with the X series (esp Rockman Zero and Command Mission) doesn't like to explain how their time line works in their games.
