I wasn't allowed rodents when I was a kid.

I was never really interested in rodent pets until recently. We just aren't in a position to look after anything else properly. So I was planning to get rats until a friend of my mum turned up and asked us to take the guinea pigs since she became allergic to them :<

I would feel sorry for her - well, I do feel sorry for her, but damned if I'm not happy regardless.

I was always scared of them because my mom put the FEAR OF GOD into me about them. But when I dated PC I told her we could get some rats because she wanted them so bad; I'd totally suck it up. :D Needless to say, I don't have to worry about it anymore, so I can still be a little afraid of them now. XD

They're so sweeeet! You shall learn to love them! I still want to get rats at some point, but I'm not sure how my mother would take the idea, so I'll stick with the guinea pigs for now.

Wait til you move out on your own. That way you won't hear someone else shrieking in the middle of the night when they have their eventual escape.
