Honest Mistake

Quick pretend you're me. One month ago you find yourself falling for a guy. You're friends and you're really hesitant to say anything. So you don't. At least not to him. You're also friends with his best friend. You trust this guy's friend. So you make the executive decision to tell him about your feelings.

Now you probably think you know where this is going. The best friend tells the guy you're crushing on. No. No, it's worse. It's betrayal, pretty much.

Get this he tells you that he could see you two as a couple. He analyzes how you act together and says it could work. "You'd make a cute couple. I really see it." So he says.

Pusssshaw!

Now, you never actually assumed that anything could come of the crush on this boy. You don't want to ruin your friendship with him and you know that he doesn't like you back. (Of course, you never lose hope, because that's the type of person you are).

Two days ago you find out that this guy has a crush on someone. Someone who's not you. Surprisingly, you don't feel upset. Clearly you didn't like him as much as you thought. Here comes the problem though.

This guy who told you that you'd be great together knew that he didn't like you. He knew that he had a crush on someone else. Still, he encouraged you and made you feel like something could come of this crush. (And you are very easily encouraged, especially when you assume the advice is coming from the guys best friend).

Now you tell him that you need to chat with him to sort out the entire mess. He calls you and says, "I honestly don't know what I did."

BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!! So that is a day in my teenage drama. (And here I was figuring that it would be all better once I turned eighteen. Is it possible that it just got worse?)

So anyways here is what I have to say to mister lier, betrayal pants. I realize you're a boy but pay attention to your actions here! I know you're not stupid, I realize that you didn't intentionally want to hurt my feelings but guess what? You did. I feel like I can't trust you because you're going to lie to me.

Go lie to someone else.

Love, SARAH
