Thoughts on Ed and Greg and Wordy
I just realized I had another comment I meant to put into my ramblings on The Element of Surprise.
Keep in mind I know next to nothing about 12 step programs, just what I've seen on tv and a little bit of research.
When Ed was talking to Jackson and asking him about his recovery and what steps he'd done it made me think that Ed knew a lot about 12 step programs... and then I wondered... if Greg has a "sponsor" do you think it's Ed? I'm thinking... yeah.
My personal fannon on some of the character's backstory has Greg as being a cop the longest, by a few years or so. I think he met Ed, probably working together, and they bonded. And Ed either met Wordy at the academy, or soon after. I think they worked together and became friends, but that Greg only knew Wordy through Ed. I don't think Greg got to really know Wordy until they were all in the SRU.
