Musings of a Tea Drinking Jamie
I killed a mouse today. It was very much an accident.
My dad and I had planted some trees in the yard earlier this year and there has been very little rain, so we drive around and water them a couple times a week. Well, when I got out of the car, I walked to the back to get the water and I saw him right behind my tire. Since he had about ten acres to run about and ran under my tire, my dad ruled it a suicide. I was still sad...I may have apologized to the mouse.
I realized I hadn't updated my profile in a couple years...so I did a bit of that. I am also behind in my magazine reading- I purposely skipped the Rolling Stone with the jonas brothers (I am not dignifying them with capitalization) on the cover. MySpace Tom looks a lot different on this month's Fast Company than he does on his profile picture.
There is a little coffee shop within walking distance of the library, so sometimes I go down there when I need time to process...stuff. There is a little curly headed barista boy who works there and he told me there was pumpkin syrup...now, I have really been getting anxious for the pumpkin spiced lattes to come back...really. So, I was excited and ordered one; it was a lot sweeter and less spicy than I like though, so I wasn't planning on ordering one again. When I came back a couple days later, the barista boy excitedly asked me if I would like pumpkin in my latte...he seemed so proud for remembering that I just said yes. I like it there, though. They have a pretty orange wall.
I think I convinced my dad to just get better quality phones instead of switching service providers to a non-verizon company.
I realized that I sleep about 3 hours a night during the week and then have a day during the weekend where I sleep on the couch for about 14. Somehow, I am thinking this evens out.
