Unfortunately I'll be away at Lake Tahoe that day, but my sister Djahari's dance troupe "Desert Sin" will be in SF Saturday Feb 3. They rarely do SF performances.
This will be part of a larger show called, "The Flame and the Shadow", which features many dance troupes. I don't know how much stage time DS will have.

...Don't be fooled by the front page image... they do more than belly dancing. Though I don't know what they'll be doing for this event, so it could very well be belly dancing. Last time I saw them perform they made the stage up like an underwater scene and came out as sea dancers, doing dance moves that conveyed the motion of flowing fins, as well as some ill-intentioned mermaids.
Again, I have no idea what they'll be doing.. it might be very short and simple for all I know. Every performance of theirs that I have seen, however, involved just as many acting elements as dancing elements. They make VERY good productions.
It should be a good time.
