Endangered Kangaroo Shoes!
Today the California Supreme Court ruled against Adidas who were trying to fight a 1971 law that as far as I can tell attempts to prevent the commercial exploitation of cute animals under the guise of endangered species protection. Adidas argued that since kangaroos aren't even remotely endangered and are recognized as such under federal law the state law is invalid. The court answered that the truth isn't what's at stake here.
So, if you like really soft leather in your soccer shoes you're out of luck in California. I wonder what David Beckham thinks of that.
