Can we please send all the idiots who think it's inappropriate to hurt the feelings of people who might have information that could save lives to a secret moron colony on the moon?
I hate the idea of torture. Torture is never acceptable.
I also hate the idea that people in America are somehow more valuable than people in other countries and that it's okay to kill people to further our own goals.
And obviously our foreign policy is the cause of shit like 9/11, not people across the ocean who "hate our freedom".

But the fact of the matter is that until we get a president who isn't a spoiled rich boy trying to take care of his buddies who can change how we treat other countries, there are gonna be people in the world who hate us and commit crimes against us. When we actually manage to capture one of these people, we should be able to resort to any means necessary to get information we need from them which could help prevent other attacks. As long as it doesn't mean doing them bodily harm. The shit they describe in the above article with such distain isn't even as bad as some of the frathouse initiations I've heard of. I mean, jesus christ. Kids did worse to ME in MIDDLE SCHOOL.

Whether or not these interrogations produce results is irrelevant. My point is that this should not be news. As long as they're not putting these guys on the rack or ramming bamboo splinters under their fingernails, I couldn't give less of a damn.
