Yes, Marbas says things like that just to try and cause a spit-take.

Then Lohendrin wanders through and says something about going to Hyjal and Lorian shifts attitudes. "I'd prefer it if you didn't. Why must you march off to war all the time? At least take your brother with you."
See, Marbas is worldly. Lohendrin is just too damn naïve to be traipsing around without a guide.

Marbas shares a grin with dad before scampering after Lohen, "Wait, I need my hat! I need to look properly menacing!"
