The opening performance continued on, the crowd going wild with every wink and smile from the starlet as she sashayed in high platform boots and slinky skintight leggings. She danced back and forth across the stage spewing out her most recent single that was topping the charts. It was a catchy little number that you would probably find on practically everyone's music player, including Nagi's. But then again, his player contained thousands of other songs, too.
"Come on, folks, let's hear some noise~~!!" Sofia cried out to the audience as she wrapped up her song, and they roared back appreciatively. The stage now focused upon the green as the players took to the field among deafening cheers. Chanting and feet pounding resounded across the stadium as the game kicked off at last.
The section where Nagi sat was still not too crowded, for he had chosen a slightly off center location in exchange for a little privacy. He didn't need visuals to keep things monitored, after all. He adjusted his blue tinted sunglasses, which also allowed him to view a live feed of information that his search programs sent back to him.
A fuzzy nose nudged him gently on his ear.
"Yeah, I know, Luca," he said calmly. The animal twitched her ears and settled back on Nagi's shoulder. Nagi glanced to his side, and nodded in greeting as the man he knew as 'Otaku' took a seat beside him.
"I dunno. It's just getting started. How've you been?" he asked, perhaps with a hint of tiredness in his voice. The last several days had been difficult for Nagi, and he hadn't gotten much sleep. It was fortunate that his physical injuries didn't translate here in VR, but the same could not be said of his mental drain.

He lifted a knee on top of the other and observed as an intricate pattern ran across the hem of his kimono. Good, good, he could work his way around most of these programs it seemed. The game itself, it was just a secondary matter. And when he glanced at the arena, he paused for a moment to observe the setting, the players, the layout that was posted on the screens up above their heads. Of course he knew, and could see what kind of strategies both coaches were after. But it was really not that interesting, so he returned his attention to his companion.
"How about you?"
