Comics
I don't get to the comic store any more. I'm broke, and the store owners don't seem to approve of using their stores as libraries. Evil, greedy bastards! That's not the only reason though. I haven't bought much of anything since Crossgen went under. I haven't even bought Take a Chance, and I'm a bit of a mizkit stalker. (Sorry, Catie! I know, I know...worst fan ever....)
Once I decided that I strongly preferred bound trade collections to floppy single issue format, I got out of the habit of regularly visiting the comic stores. From there, it was easy to lose my attachment to the medium. Now I can't justify the outlay, I have to miss out on The Dresden Files and Take a Chance and Dork Tower and Knights of the Dinner Table. My life is emptier for it. :(
