You know what's weird?

Being finished year one of medical school. I am officially allowed to say "erythema" instead of "red," "diaphoretic" instead of "sweaty", and "syncope" instead of what I kind of feel like doing right now.

PS The fact that I am one year away from working full time in a hospital does not make me very comfortable with the state of medicine in America.

In one week I'm off to Washington DC, where I'll be working for the Navy for 7 weeks. I'm also hoping to do some political stuff, as the Ron Paul campaign is starting to take off and I was recruited to design the t-shirt for www.studentsforpaul.org, which is affiliated with the official www.ronpaul2008.com website. Several people I "know" through facebook are in DC, and I'm hoping to get together with them to do something real. Not that t-shirt designing isn't real. Whatever. It's my first chance to actually feel like an "activist", because pulling for the LP-- which I love, by the way-- gets no one anywhere. Speaking of that, I have to switch my party affiliation to Republican so I can vote in the PA primary, and this makes me feel so dirty you don't even know.

Anyway, Saturday I'm going home for a week. I'm excited.
