Of not tests and words

I decided to pass on Comps this semester. I wasn't feeling prepared, which seemed like a good enough reason to me, my father, my adviser, the head of graduate English, and at least two other English faculty.

I've come up with a new reason that I dislike the principle of Twilight, namely that it took that word from me. I've always liked the word twilight. I always felt it had some fun and surreal connotations. In high school with my friend Simon, I had actually even started writing the breakdown of a multimedia creative project we tentatively titled Time of Twilight. That would be nigh impossible in this current cultural climate. Bah.

It was such a good word.
