Computer advice pls

Help me, lazywebs! I'm building a new computer, but having never built from scratch before, I'm not sure about components. Please, those with such techie experience, to be reading and commenting?

(People who've helped in the past: please re-read. I'm an idiot and forgot to write down the build I had before eBuyer deleted the list, and I honestly can't remember the vast majority of the components I was looking at.)

My primary concern is that I'm mismatching levels: is my graphics card good enough to keep up with the processor? Should I downgrade the PSU as I don't actually need to spend that much? I'm also slightly concerned that different parts are going to be incompatible; I think I'm okay on that front, but not 100% sure.

Really, any comments/advice/concrit would be appreciated.
Case Coolmaster Elite 330 Black £27.93. ATX mid-tower, comes with one 120mm fan, and space for a second. I was also looking at this, however. Motherboard MSI 790FX-GD70 £129.67. ATX, DDR3, 7.1 surround sound. This is at the top-end of the motherboards, but other than this being one of the few supporting DDR3, I'm not sure how much of a difference the motherboard will make. Processor AMD Phenom X4 965 3.4GHz AM3 £166.54. Memory 2 × Crucial 2GB DDR3 1333MHz × 2 £116.61 total. That's 8GB RAM. Graphics card Nvidia Inno3D GTX275 OC edition 896MB GDDR3 £181.93. Having had a laptop for the past four years, I'm very confused about graphics cards, but this looks to me to be about the standard to match the rest of my kit. I think. PSU Arctic Power 700W £42.99. The graphics card requires at least 550W, so my thinking on this is that it gives a fair bit of leeway for future problems, although I'm not sure if that's necessary. I'm also mildly concerned about whether this will have enough/the right kind of power sockets. Hard disk Seagate 500GB SATAII 7200rpm 16MB cache £36.22. DVD drive Sony AD-7240S 24× DVD±R DL & DVD-RAM £15.99. I considered buying something Blue-Ray based, but by the time I'd be using it, I suspect the prices will have come down more than the £16 this costs. Fans AKASA 120mm 3 pin case fan £7.13, plus Xilence Icebreaker CPU fan £15.24. This was another thing I'm not sure about. The CPU fan in particular: Google seems to suggest that AM2 fans will fit AM3 processors, and the fan that comes with the processor is apparently not very good in terms of both temperature and noise. Part of my concern with this is whether it will fit in the case with everything else. I'm also getting rubber case mounts for the case fan. Monitor Samsung 23" TFT 2048×1152 £143.79. I've picked this one as it seems to have the highest resolution of all the reasonably-priced 23" monitors. Wireless Netgear WG311 PCI card £16.99. I've been cautioned about buying wireless PCI cards, but given that USB slots are generally in greater demand than PCI slots for me, and there's no great distance from my computer desk to the router, I'm not convinced using a USB wireless stick is worth it. Cables 2 × Plexus SATA 2.0 18" total £3.98. I think the only things that are missing cables are the hard drive and the DVD drive, but I'm not sure. Including an anti-static wristband, that comes to a grand total of £939.28. Comments pls?
