The Last President Elect.
I was at DJ Soul Sister's election party at One Eyed Jack's last night, which was pretty intense with people giving heartfelt speeches and cheering and crying. I have to admit I was a little wary over the look in everyone's eyes, like Obama is the messiah come down to take everyone's troubles away. He's not. There is no messiah that's gonna hide life from you.
But anyway, I was watching the spectacular speech he gave and this occurred to me: "We just elected the last president of the United States of America." Three years into his term is 2012, the end (whatever that means). Perhaps he's even the catalyst, good or bad. Maybe he leads the world to it's demise, or maybe he is somehow a trigger to help us realize that we are one thing with many faces so that we all merge with the infinite and there's no longer a need for the illusion of the planet and separateness.
