Violence.
Occasionally, my job goes a bit far. Not too far, never that, but occasionally I get banged up rather heavily as a result of what I do. I feel like sharing this one.
I was teaching a student last night how to pick a person up and throw him at things. It's how I fight, it's highly effective, and more than a bit intimidating. Nothing says "I just owned your ass" like being picked up and thrown at something then pummeled against it. Since the student's about 5'5", but capable of it, it's that much more menacing, especially since he could pull it off on me, who is 6'2" and pretty well built. So, among the sparring, I got thrown through a wall.
Literally.
It happens, and I'm pretty hard to hurt, but I have to say, that's a first. Between that and the fat lip, it was an interesting night.
