My thoughts on TVD 4x03
- Ratting out Meredith? Really Jeremy? Does he know that’s Damon’s blood? If so, I’m even more annoyed. I mean, sure, nothing might come of Jeremy telling Connor, but still, it seemed kind of stupid. Your father figure’s girlfriend and the vampire that’s helping protect your sister…yep, who cares about them.
*I think the Jeremy-is-a-hunter thing could be interesting (with his ability to see ghosts it kind of works) but I really hope he has some sense like Alaric and doesn’t sell Stefan/Damon/Caroline/HIS SISTER out. Connor and his “infestation” problem is super irritating and kind of boring to me - I don’t want Jeremy to become just like him. He’s already pretty disillusioned with his life and the influence vampires and other supernatural sources have had (and who can blame him really) - I just hope he doesn’t go too far. The Damon/Jeremy friendship is interesting to me…I hope we see more of that this season.
*Oh, I guess Jeremy might be in on a plan with Damon? That makes a little more sense. Ok Jeremy, I take back what I said.
- Rebekah is a BIOTCH. Stealing Elena’s ring? Wow. That’s pretty low.
- I don’t mind the Stefan/Elena stuff (they are dating) but I’m annoyed that they just used “Too Close” because I LOVE that song.
- Ooh, werewolf venom drama…
*Damon hallucinations…very interesting…
- I’m sorry, I still really don’t like Klaus. I’m not ready for him to be on the same team with Damon et al. I get they can’t kill him without possibly killing Stefan/Damon/Elena/Caroline, but he’s still an evil step above other vampires on the show. I really don’t get Klaus/Caroline. Hopefully she’ll mellow him out, but I still don’t get how she can fall for a guy that’s terrorized everyone she cares about.
- Oh Damon, you did NOT just kill Connor. How cute that you think that.
“I don’t want to hold her back” - please don’t be a martyr Stefan. I do NOT want Stefan & Elena to break up because of Stefan’s angst. If they break up it should because they’re wrong for each other (or Elena has feelings for Damon) NOT because Stefan’s sacrificing his own happiness. That would almost be as bad as when Lana/Clark broke for the final time because she was LITERALLY his kryptonite (nevermind the poor Lois/Clark relationship that was just starting…that’ll only happen after he’s physically incapable of being around Lana). Listen to Caroline!
“and I’m going to teach you” - yay! (lol, oh Damon - that leaving town thing didn’t last for long).
Other random thoughts after the episode:
- Ian Somerhalder is FINE. So attractive.
- I love that not only did Damon know Elena was lying about the bourbon, but that he knew what she was actually looking for too.
- Not really liking new werewolf chick (and I don’t even particularly ship Caroline/Tyler).
- I am, however, liking April better this episode. I kind of like the friendship vibe I got from that April/Rebekah scene when April was discussing her (lack of) family.
- Actually, I was also really liking the Damon/Meredith teamwork/friendship moment in the trailer. Too bad Damon went a little overboard with his plan in the hospital (and Meredith reacted a little too strongly to the outcome).
- I wish Damon had known Elena was dying (sick?) from werewolf venom. Idk why, I guess because he experienced something similar (and that was such a huge, emotional experience they shared).
- I really thought this was going to be a boring episode but it was actually pretty entertaining (and had some unexpected shippy Delana moments!).
Man, I really need a VD icon. Also, I'm really tired tonight...sorry for any typos/rambling.
