TVD 3x19 Thoughts
- D/E awesomeness aside, I thought the episode was kind of meh overall. I'm not a huge Klaroline fan (but I really don't ship her with anyone in particular) and the Rebekah/Esther thing was pretty predictable. I was really starting to like Rebekah! Oh well.
- The Jekyll & Hyde book swap at the beginning amused me: it reminded me of the Alaric/Damon buddy dynamic that has been missing for awhile.
- The kiss(es) was fantastic. Classy motel lighting flickering in the background and everything ;-)
- I’m sick of the whole “Damon is the bad guy” thing. Fine, he can be impulsive and stupid, but Stefan’s recently been pretty evil himself, so why is it only Damon that can’t be forgiven? So annoying.
- Jeremy being all judge-y irritated me greatly, but it set up the awesome Rose quote at the end, so I suppose it’s forgiven (now, if Elena could know he’s ok with it…)
- I really don’t get why Elena’s denying her feelings to Damon. If she was afraid to admit she was in love with him, ok I get that, but having feelings for him isn’t some monumental thing to confess when you’ve just been making out with him and obviously care about him! That’s like saying “do you care for Damon?” - heck yes she does.
- I think Damon overreacted a little too quickly to Elena’s non-admission, but once she started talking about his “bad” behavior, I think what he said is totally justified, and I love that he’s going to stick to his guns and not let his behavior ruin any future chance they have together.
- The Rose quote! Enough said.
