Stargate Universe & Warehouse 13

Ok, so just saw the latest SGU trailer over on syfy.com (http://video.syfy.com/shows/universe/promos_trailers_4/stargate-universe/v1138854)

Honestly? Not impressed. It just kinda looks like a Voyager/Atlantis/gazillion other scifi shows ripoff. Cut off from home - in either another universe,or clear to the other side of it,  trying to find find their way back while encountering new races. All with extra sex & violence, plus younger characters to grab the younger viewers! Meh. The civillian guy looks kind of interesting (David Blue - Cliff from Ugly Betty!) - I think I might like him, as for the other characters, idk yet.

I LOVED Stargate SG1 and liked Stargate Atlantis a lot, so I'll give it at least 1 or 2 tries, but not seeing a lot that'll hold my interest yet. We'll see I suppose :-)

Warehouse 13, on the other hand, I'm really enjoying! It comes in Tuesday nights on Syfy *rolls eyes* channel. I'm not sure if it's circulated elsewhere on the internet. Two FBI agents are assigned to protect warehouse 13 & retrive mysterious artifacts causing havoc elsewhere and bring them back to the warehouse. I suppose you could draw parallels to other scifi shows such as Eureka, X-Files, etc. with the general premise (though, I've never really watched X-Files to compare - just know the general idea) but I'm liking it and it seems different enough to not be a copy. Male FBI agent is Peter Lattimer (Played by Eddie McClintock - aka Sully from bones!) and female FBI agent is Myka Bering (played by Joanne Kelly). Of the two, I'm prefering Pete right now but I'm warming up to Myka. I'm not really shipping these 2 hardcore atm but they are nice together. Cast also includes Artie (played by Saul Rubinek) and a few others. I liked the pilot, and the 2nd episode kept me interested, but the 3rd episode I could see myself investing in the long haul. http://www.syfy.com/warehouse13/index.php

Anyway...possibly more on WH13 later...
