I missed like 10 minutes of last night's episode so I rewatched most of it today. My thoughts:
So, overall I liked it. This was my first episode watching ‘live’ after watching all of the previous episodes over a very short span of time.
Chuck & Sarah have to play husband & wife so straight away you know there are going to be some cute moments. At one point she makes him breakfast which was so adorable (mostly his reaction to it).
Apparently Fulcrum is trying to develop their own intercept and are testing people to see if they can tolerate all the information in their brain. So, I guess not only is Chuck special that he can absorb and recall all that CIA/NSA information but because it didn’t kill him in the first place (gee, thanks Bryce). So anyway, though a series of events Chuck accidentally tests himself and the Fulcrum people are glad they’ve found a potential subject.
So, Chuck starts flashing on Fulcrum stuff as well, which is kind of cool. Sarah, Casey and Chuck are all captured and Chuck wakes up calling Sarah’s name (which I thought was sweet - even barely conscious he remembers she could be in danger. Not ‘what’s going on’ but ‘Sarah? Where’s Sarah?’).
Fulcrum proceeds to download more of their secrets into his head (which, honestly, I thought was pretty stupid - don’t you want to make sure he’s loyal or at least threatened into submission before you start giving away you most secret plans?). Chuck and Casey manage to trick the Fulcrum people into their demise (all the while Chuck’s protecting Sarah.)
Towards the end Chuck asks if she wants to go watch a movie or something in ‘their’ house in the suburbs since Ellie thinks they’re house sitting. Of course, Sarah dashes his hopes (really, what did you think she going to say Chuck?) and later we see her watching sadly while their ‘house’ is getting cleaned out by the CIA. While this is happening Chuck’s talking to Ellie after she asks how house sitting went. Basically, we get a long speech which boils down to how he and Sarah will never be more than what they are right now. This bothered me a little bit - haven’t we gone over this before? When she told him the ‘under the cover thing’ wasn’t going anywhere and he ‘broke up’ with Sarah and started dating Lou (sp?), when Bryce told him how he was affecting Sarah’s better judgment and he had the conversation with her, and now this? ~~More Later when I have some more time~~
