... Though, I find it hard to see Haruna saying he liked Abe very much as a person and doesn't want to see him get hurt. He certainly hurt him a lot when they were a battery.

Haruna has turned over a new leaf! He apologized to Abe in the manga you know and it was very sincere (in as much as he can be sincere, anyway). And he thanked Abe for their time together as a battery! So he values what Abe did for him, even if he doesn't really realize the full amount of damage he actually did.

Ha ha, yeah, Haruna has actually done some growing up too. It wasn't perfect (it was only an apology if you squint and speak Haruna-ese, and also it was sandwiched in between layers of taunting.) But Haruna's not a bad guy. He confessed that he valued having Abe as a catcher. <3

Abe still has resentments, though, because it's not so easy to let go of that much heartache right away!
