THE BOY RETURNS

Jul 04, 2004 07:56

So I arrived home yesterday, and it's needless to point out how tired I am, and I think that I am getting sick. Anyways, here's some things on the trip.

~NEW:YORK~
We stayed in the Times Square area, allowing for much walking around. Jason stole a bunch of shit, whilst I was honest and bought a bunch of shit. We took a helicopter tour of the city, which wasn't too bad, except that it lasted five minutes. I also met up with Steph and her roommate, Sarah. We walked around in the Village and ate at some restaurant that served us corn with cheese on it. It was very queer, but good. Then we hit the Diesel store and I lost all control over myself. A pair of pants, a T-shirt, and a flawless jacket, was the damage.

~QUEEN:MARY:II~
The cruise was precisely what I needed after the hustle and bustle of New York. A blacony, robes, slippers, comfy pillows, alcohol left and right, it was all amazing. John Cleese was on our ship! I saw him during the emergency drill! He gave a few talks about his career with Monty Python and Fawlty Towers and the likes. Also, Bugar from Revenge of the Nerds was on the ship with his wife and daughter. Basically, the cruise was just a large calm before the storm of European activity that I was to take part in. Lots of alcohol, lots and lots. I dig.

~LONDON~
By far, my favorite part of the whole journey. The first day, we checked in to our hotel, and I immediately called Zia up. We went to Camden town, Carniby St., and many other interesting places which held many hot little asian girls, for some reason. We also went to see Kill Bill Vol. II, which didn't impress me in the slightest. I thought it was very anti-climactic, when compared to the first installment. Anyways, the next day, we went back to Camden, so that my brother could buy shit. After we got back from that trip, I called up Eva. We met up that night and went to a night club called "After Skooooooooool", which was a blast. They played good music and there were many nice looking British people there. Unfortunately, there weren't more, due to Glastonbury being that EXACT weekened. I MISSED GLASTONBURY AND I'M PISSED! I could have seen the likes of Oasis, Kings of Leon, Franz Ferdinand, The Scissor Sisters, The Chemical Brothers, The Rapture, Supergrass, and the list goes on! FUCK! Oh well, I did see it on TV, which is more than I can say for people back in the states. During my stay, I also got quite into the Euro 2004 Football Championship. Portugal and Greece are in the finals, which are today, actually. I must watch them because I decided that European football is awesome. Anyways, London was the best part of my trip and I want to live there someday.

~PARIS~
Paris was quite nice, but a bit difficult. Not speaking the language was a bit of a cripple, but I learned a few basic phrases and eventually, I didn't even notice the difference. Paris is very compact and cozy and I love it. There are so many awesome little boutiques that I didn't know which was to think or how to look! I bought some boots, a dress up shirt, a sweater, some ashtrays, and other such little souveniers. Lots of walking. Lots of Cafes. I drank wine at every meal and was piss drunk every single night. Paris is even better when you're drunk half the time!

So, in a nutshell, that was my trip (I'm sure I have forgotten many things). It was loads of fun, and I hope to go back to Europe someday.
