For some reason, the past couple of days have been an unceasing onslaught of Cthulhu and other assorted Lovecraftian madness. I finally bought the Call of Cthulhu game for my Xbox, further cementing my lack of incentive to ever leave my desk, and I got the Call of Cthulhu roleplaying game, which I've been meaning to get for some time. (Having your money for the semester basically double unexpectedly gives that kind of freedom.)
And I've rediscovered the joys of the Darkest of the Hillside Thickets. C'mon, who couldn't love a band with lines like She's one of the million favored ones, she's the black goat with a thousand young? I mean, really. Plus, that song's called "Six Gun Gorgon Dynamo," and is about Shub-Niggurath, which makes it pretty hard to beat.
(Yes, Megan, it's Shub-Niggurath, not Noam Chomsky. Sorry, love, but Noam Chomsky is not a six gun gorgon dynamo.)
Now I'm going to go read The Shadow Over Innsmouth. In the bath, of course.
