For those wondering, my schedule is now as follows:
Monday
ENG 403, Writing Consultation Practicum, 11:30 to 12:20.
ENG 508, Old English, 1:30-2:20.
Tuesday
PHRE 314, Chinese Religions, 9:00 to 10:20.
JINS 351, The Faust Tradition, 10:30 to 12:50.
ENG 408, Writing Workshop: Fiction, 1:30 to 2:50.
Wednesday
Writing Center staff meeting, 7:30-8:20.
ENG 508, Old English, 1:30-2:20.
Thursday
Same as Tuesday.
Friday
ENG 508, Old English, 1:30-2:20.
Incidentally, Old English, the Fiction Writing Workshop, and Faust all show serious signs of potential awesomeness. Chinese Religions will probably be pretty fun, though I've taken so many classes with that professor now that I know exactly what's going to happen. (Sadly, once again two thirds of the way through the semester we'll stop learning things and listen to group presentations, then take a final. This always blows.)
Tidbit: I came into Old English with one sincere hope. I wanted to be able to read Beowulf in the original Anglo-Saxon. At the top of the syllabus for the course, it says the course objective:
There is one prime objective: to attain sufficient competence in Anglo-Saxon as to be able, by the end of the course, to begin reading Beowulf in a classroom setting.
Awesome.
