It's funny how time reduces a keepsake to a footnote
yes, i bought uggs. and i cut my hair. and i'm in the process of cleaning my room. *shocked face*
For those of you that haven't had the privilege to see my boudoir...for the past 2 years seeing the carpet has been a rarity. It is just CLUTTERED with brik-a-brack, and the floor is mountains and valleys of clothes. It is littered with junk from a wicker hamper, bamboo poles, an ancient trunk, countless frisbee's and pens and assorted trinkets that i got for free that i feel i'll need at some point in the future (like a cell phone holder shaped like a sofa?), and pictures pictures everywhere. Framed and boxed, along with 12 years worth of journals. I have 5 sets of calligraphy pens and inks, new and old fashioned. I've also got boxes of scrapbooking supplies. Boxes of paper scraps, stickers, scissors, glue sticks, pliers, and of course my giant paper cutter. If you dig into the clothes on the floor you'll find teenage mutant ninja turtle headbands, wonder woman's lasso of truth, boxings gloves, camo pants, spandex shorts with stars on them, and other such necessities. Why don't i just throw all my clothes into the hamper, that was clearly given to me because of my chronic messiness? Or the trunk, that is just taking up space? Well because they are filled with and stacked with MORE indispensable knickknacks, like clay piggy mugs, stuffed animals, whittlings, pictures made from the sunlight and magnifying glasses, bags of sparkley pink tea candles and candles in the shape of gerbera daisies, hollow easter eggs, bundles of notes from high school, miscellaneous mail-order goodies, specialty checkers sets, and crazy straw glasses. And while most people have shoe-boxes of relationship crap, i have a trunk, a hamper, most of the space in my bedroom, various nooks around that house, and a portion of the ATTIC dedicated to it. Hey, where else am i supposed to store a 50ft hand-painted banner that once hung across the front of my house for the whole neighborhood (and all low flying air traffic) to see?
