Maybe they were underestimating Greece.
In their play-off game for South Africa they won the first game against Slovenia, went partying the evening before the return game, lost and Slovenia went to the World Cup. So I don't know if they have the best mentality, at least not better than Greece.

I read somewhere that he could let Per play instead of Holger because of the cards, but I don't believe that. He said in the press conference that either Bender or Benni would be playing and that he would leave Lahm on the left.
