First cross race of the season. First time on a cross bike (borrowed & about 2 sizes too big too boot). Almost wiped out a couple of times, had trouble re-mounting over obstacles, felt like my head was going to explode, but kept going.
Today was also Jeff's first race ever. We had the same starting time and he did awesome - and making sure he didn't lap me was motivation to keep going.
It feels really good to feel like I'm getting to know more cyclists in the area. When race organizers and other racers know your name, it's incredibly encouraging. Now I just have to get speedier!
