You know what makes being rejected sting more?

When the person doing the rejecting totally gave you a cold and you have to suffer through it while trying to nurse your battered ego.

::hugs::

Have something warm and nurse your ego alongside with body.

Thanks *hugs* I am totally contemplating using the cold as an excuse to go home from work even though it's not like it effects my typing or filing or anything.

I understand you so well...

By the way, I've watched two episodes of Veronica Mars - as I've seen you like it so much, I thought it might be worth a try. I liked them! Weevil is ♥

I'm so glad you like it. I mean I'd figure you would because we tend to like the same things (otherwise known as you have excellent taste). Keep me updated on your progress so we can discuss.

Also I'm so glad you love Weevil already because you know he is like my favorite thing about the show.

How can anyone not love him? ;) I was all "aww" when he hugged Veronica in the second episode.

What really caught me immediately, though, was how Veronica is someone who tries to gather together the pieces of her life, is so tough and yet so lovable - and the relationship she has with her father. Fathers&daughters are a weakness of mine, these days. ::sniff::

Nice icons, by the way :>

Some people have a harder time getting over the whole flagpole issue. But I mean how can you not love a guy who confesses to a crime he didn't commit to save his grandmother?

Yes, Veronica's attempts to glue her life together are really really compelling and Keith and Veronica have one of the best father/daughter relationships on screen, hands down. It's the almost post-apocalyptic nature of the show in great part that makes it unique.

Exactly! And the alienation and how painful secrets can be...
As to the flagpole - it's not like I'm inviting my daughter to marry him. It's of no importance in whether I love a character or not.

I also love the contrast between Veronica 1.0 (as we like to call pre murder and rape Veronica) and Veronica 2.0. It so clearly demonstrates the far reaching effects that things can have... it's there with Logan and Duncan too as you'll see as you continue to watch.

Of course... I mean we love Snape for god's sake.

I think you'll grow to love Weevil in more of a way of affection and not just interest though. He's... well you'll see.

He definitely has potential for being adored, doesn't he? I mean, his being grateful and for chrissake, giving Veronica a hug? I know my being away from my RL friends shows... But the hug totally had me.

Yes, she's so different. I'm looking forward to seeing more :)

The hug totally gets me too. I love how the episode starts off looking to make Weevil seem worse but really teaches us he is better than we expected. Weevil is just such a good human being, despite being a gang leader and all.

I'm looking forward to you seeing more too.
