Books that I am looking forward to coming out

So I was looking at Goodreads and thinking about anticipation, and how a new book that comes out gets read immediately in front of the long long queue of existing books I want to get to. Here are books I am looking forward to:

I literally could not put down Hunger Games or Catching Fire.

I really enjoy having a new Butcher book every 6 months. I especially appreciate that they are improving in quality; he isn't just throwing garbage out to profit off the brand every few months. Although, now that he is done with the Alera series I wonder whether he is going to start a new one, write more Dresden, or just slow down a little.

Rosemary and Rue (and its sequel) make a very good stopgap while waiting for a new Dresden Files book. It isn't quite as strong a series (yet) but I always have to remind myself that the first few Butcher books were not as good as the current ones. But it definitely hits that noir detective/urban fantasy kink and I love that it is set in San Francisco.

We all have that fear about Martin. Although, I didn't know any better when I picked up A Game of Thrones before A Clash of Kings' release. I didn't know that Martin was going to take a long time between books, I didn't know he was old, I didn't even know it was going to be a series. But at least, if you fall in love with the series and have to deal with it never being finished, you will be in good company.

Heh, its a funny story about how I first read the Hunger Games. It was on a list of books we could use for a project in one of my classes (literature for jr/sr high school, that list had a bunch of great books on it- its become like a to read list for me) and I looked up the summary and really wanted to read it, but my best friend in the class got it before me (only could be one person per book. So I had to read it on my own, and DEVOURED it. Catching Fire came out like a week later, and I actually skipped class to sit in Borders and read it.
