It occurs to me that I added some people before I left for vacation and haven't really gotten to know them at all. So Meme:

Ask me one fannish and one non-fannish question. I will answer both and ask you one of each as well.

I really need to find the list that sophia_helix and I were working on about people's chances of dying and what kind of deaths they were likely to have in the verse. I know Melisandre had like a 99.5% chance of a heroic evil death (categories also including: heroic good[Jaime mostly likely falling into this category], ignominious[Cersei's working on this one..Tywin's already passed this way], senseless tragedy[the younger Lannister kids probably are heading towards this one], etc.[just another number for the death count], and RIP[which consists pretty much solely of Catelyn Stark staying dead instead of being a scary zombie]).

You could definitely say that. It's also an issue of distance very literally for me though. Out of my three closest friends only one lives in my town and only two live in my state (and it's California so it's a big state). I commuted over an hour for most of college and now my significant other commutes 45 minutes to work every day. Traveling sucks up so much of my time and limits so much the time I get to spend with the people I care about. It leads me to make choices that I would not otherwise make.

Fic exchanges are a great way to get exactly that little nudge to put out a product and that's very much why I like them. And everyone has to be new at it at some point, right?

Agreed about the something you love thing. Right now I am working a job I have no affection for whatsoever so it's basically like 40 hours of my life are being stolen from me for no good reason. It's sort of soul killing and makes it hard to be a responsible person.
